This unusual and interesting plant is a dwarf cultivar of the Japanese Holly.
The short, chunky branches and the small dark green leaves make it very popular for bonsai or japanese-style gardens.
It is very slow growing and with its upright habit it can create an interesting accent plant in a garden bed or patio pot.
A 10 year old plant would barely be 1 metre in height.
