'Knaphill Red' has flowers that are a bright reddish-orange colour.
It makes a very colourful addition to the garden in spring.
It also produces colourful autumn foliage.
As with most deciduous azaleas, it will tolerate a sunnier position than will the majority of evergreen azalea.
It can grow more than 1.5 metres, but can be kept pruned to a smaller size.
