'Kirin' is one of the most popular varieties of the Kurume azaleas.
In spring, the entire shrub is covered with small hose-in-hose, light pink flowers.
Beside the flowers, the smaller than usual leaves is a great attraction.
This is particularly so in trimmed specimens.
In Japan they are usuall timmed into balls or a a border edging a pathway.
A hardy azalea, tolerating more sun if grown in good soil.
It would rarely reach 1 metre in height.
