This cultivar of the hardy "Japanese Dogwood" is said to have the largest and brightest pink flower bracts of any of the dogwoods.
As the plants mature these stunning rose-pink flower bracts may measure 10cm across and are beautifully set off by the deep green foliage.
As with all the pink dogwoods, it may take a few years for the rich colour to fully develop.
In autumn, strawberry-like red, bird attracting fruit may be produced.
The autumn foliage is purple to red.
It forms a rounded tree to approximately 5 metres.
