The common name of this plant is Trident Maple.
With the leaves being small, triangular and tri-lobed, this maple is a favourite with bonsai growers.
It is a small deciduous tree and often multi-branched.
It will tolerate both sun and shade.
The new spring foliage is a rich bronzy-red colour becoming a dark green in summer.
The spectacular autumn colours are a blend of orange, red and yellow.
While capable of reaching more than 5 metres, it can be kept pruned as a shrub.
Plants will be trimmed prior to sending.
