This lovely perennial is grown mostly for its beautiful dark purple leaves.
The dark colour of this evergreen foliage is overlayed with a silver sheen.
In early summer long flower stems emerge producing tiny white bell-shaped flowers.
It is not drought tolerant and needs a position in semi shade with moist, well drained soil.
The foliage forms a mound of approximately 30cm by 45 cm.
