This is a very curious cultivar of the "Japanese Maple".
It forms an upright plant with short, stubby branches.
It has small crinkled foliage that is deep green in spring and summer before turning a blend of gold, rose and crimson in autumn.
It is an ideal maple for a constricted position,
It is slow growing, reaching less than 2 metres in the first 10 years.
It can be a great feature in a Japanese garden or in a decorative patio pot.
