This unsual conifer has recently had a name change to Pherosphaera hookeriana.
It is usually a densely-branched erect shrub with very dark green foliage.
In a protected area in its native habitat in Tasmania, it may become a small tree growing to heights of 5 meters.
It makes an attractive dark green shrub in a patio pot.
It performs best when protected from the hot afternoon sun.
