This is an extremely slow growing variety of the "Hinoke Cypress".
It initially forms a dwarf globular shrub with small fan-shaped branches of dark foliage.
As the plant ages, it can before more conical in habit.
The plant pictured is more than 40 years old.
It is ideal for rockery plantings or bonsai.
