This beautiful dwarf conifer is much loved by bonsai enthusiasts.
The small scale-like, juvenile foliage is bright green in the warmer months and a duller green in the cold.
It is very slow growing, reaching less than 40cm x 50cm in the first 10 years.
It may sprout some adult foliage; this should be removed.
It performs best when protected from the hot afternoon sun.
