This very rare plant originated as a sport on a China Fir.
It forms a low spreading shrub, rarely growing more than 1 metre wide by 30cm tall.
It is best in a morning sun position and protected from heavy frosts.
The spikey foliage is pale green when young and matures to a dark green.
The stems take on bronze tones as they age.
Good for a shelterd rockery or patio pot.
