This is a dwarf cultivar of the "Austrian Pine"
It forms a dense globose shaped shrub with very dark green needles.
These needles are very stiff and can be confused with Pinus sylvestris cultivars.
As the needles mature, they become longer and slightly twisted.
Small cones may appear on quite young plants.
After 10 years or so, the plant may reach 1-1.5 metres in height.
