"Colorado White Fir"
Although this fir comes from high in the mountains of Oregon and California, it is quite happy at lower altitudes.
It forms a beautiful, shapely specimen that is ideal for a central lawn feature.
The soft, long needles are a pleasant blue-grey colour.
The new green growth makes an interesting contrast.
It is fairly slow growing, taking at least 10 years to reach 2 metres or so.
