This very strange conifer has long thin, spidery branches resembling a thin rope.
A prehistoric looking conifer with short flat green needles, not unlike those on some of the Araurcaria species.
The sparse branching of the snake-like limbs on young trees thicken with age to form a tall, open, shrub.
With selective pruning, it makes an interesting patio pot specimen.
It will tolerate both sun and shade.
