Gingko biloba 'Chi Chi' is an unusual cultivar of the "Maidenhair Tree" in that it can produce large swellings on the trunk and branches at a young age.
("Chi Chi" is Japanese slang for nipples or breast).
It is regarded as a dwarf ginkgo in that it is much smaller growing that the parent plant, but may still reach more than 5 metres.
It has a shrubby and multi-stemmed habit.
It has the typical fan-shaped ginkgo foliage, but smaller in size and more congested.
It produces beautiful clear yellow autumn colours.
