This is an attractive cultivar of the "Japanese Black Pine".
It tend to have a more columnar habit than other varieties.
This makes it ideal for narrow areas or small gardens.
An outstanding feature are the long white buds that form during winter.
They make a stunning contrast to the very dark green needles.
Its annual growth rate is approximately 50cm.
