This "Golden Totara" is a much loved conifer in New Zealand.
It forms a dense shrub with rich golden-yellow, needle-like foliage.
The bright yellow colour is more intense when grown in a sunny position.
It grows in a pyramidal shape to approximately 3-5 metres.
As with all Podocarpus, it responds very well to trimming.
It can be trimmed into a neat hedge or used as topiary.
