"Queensland Kauri Pine"
With glossy wide leaves this species is unlike typical conifers.
It is a long lived magnificent tree that is suitable for larger gardens.
It has a tall straight trunk and a large crown.
Planted in an open position it will become a magnificent feature tree.
It requires a moist soil for best results and protection from frost when very young.
Can also be used for an indoor plant, where its leathery leaves are very attractive.
The magnificent specimen here is in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sri Lanka.
