This is a narrow growing cultivar of the "Austrian Pine".
The vertical branches are held very tightly to make a very dense column.
Needles are smaller than the species, The are deep green and shorter than the species and are quite prickly to touch.
It is an excellent pine to use as a feature plant or in a patio pot.
The initial growth is very slow, but is faster when more established.
A 10 year old plant would barely reach 1.2 metres.
