Commonly called the "Balfour Spruce", it is a variety of the "Likiang Spruce" from China and Bhutan.
It can eventually become a tall tree with a narrow, pointed apex.
The dense branches become slightly pendulous with age.
The short needled foliage is grey in colour.
It has a moderate growth rate, reaching 3M or so in the first 10 years.
