This conifer is native to the South-West of WA.
Its common name is the "Emu Plum".
It forms a large bushy shrub growing to 2.5m.
The purple/dark blue fruit which may be produced is used as "bush tucker".
One end contains the seed part (green) which is discarded and the fleshy ‘fruit’ (about the size of a grape) is eaten.
The foliage is useful for floral work, particularly the tented new growth..
Tolerates both shaded and sunny positions, with well drained soil.
