"Western Red Cedar"
A tall growing tree in its natural habit along the Pacific coast from Alaska to northern California.
It is much smaller in cultivation, reaching approximately 5 metres in the first 10 years.
While it is good for screening or windbreaks, it is intolerant of dry conditions.
The foliage and timber have a very pleasant aroma.
