"West Himalayan Fir"
This is an important timber tree in its natural habitat where it can grow to enormous heights.
In cultivation it will be much shorter but is still only suitable for large gardens.
It form a neat conical shape, ideal as a specimen.
Young plants need to be protected from frosts.
Stunning in spring with the new pale green gowth and later when the blue cones appear on mature plants.
