"Red Spruce"
This spruce tree is native to the north-eastern states of North America.
It is unusual in that it will tolerate a shady position, but its growth will be restricted.
In its natural area it forms a tall pyramidal tree.
As a potted plant it makes a very attractive Christmas tree.
A 10 year old plants may reach 2 metres under ideal conditions of moist but well drained soil.
