This spruce is commonly known as either the West Himalayan Spruce or Morinda Spruce.
It forms a tall, pyramidal shape with horizontal branching and long drooping branchlets.
These branchlets on an amazing specimen in the Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens in Sherbrooke cascade down at least one metre.
To appreciate this curtain effect, an open planting postion is preferred.
It is a tall growing spruce, preferring climates with cooler summers.
