This is an excellent form of the "Western Red Cedar" for hedging and screening.
It responds very well to trimming into a neat formal hedge.
As with all the Thuja plicata varieties, it will tolerate damp soil and a fair amount of shade.
If grown in a hot exposed position, adequate water must be provided in summer.
It has a moderate rate of growth capable of reaching approximately 5 metres in less than 10 years.
