This is a very rare Rhododendron in cultivation.
In mid spring large flowers with a slight fragrance appear.
The pink buds open to large milky white trusses with a yellowish-orange flare in the throat of the upper petal.
The dark green shiny foliage is smaller than most other cultivars.
It is a vigorous grower to at least 1.5 metres.
Responds well to pruning.
