Joseph Whitworh is one of the older,very hardy, larger growing rhododendrons.
It forms a spectacular sight when covered in magenta-lilac flowers.
It is best suited to larger gardens as with time it can grow more than 4 metres.
As with all Rhododendrons, it can be kept to a smaller size by pruning after flowering.
