Rhododendron 'Lucidium' is one of the hardy older varieties, and is commonly seen in the Dandenong Ranges gardens.
In spring it produces masses of purple flowers with dark spots in the throat.
The flowers form tight, compact trusses.
The foliage is a good dark green colour.
It is capable of growing more than 2 metres.
