'Pirianda Chestnut Flare' is an Australian bred Rhododendron, bred in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges.
The very large trumpet-shaped flowers are an unusual pink colour with a prominent orange-yellow flare in the throat.
The plant is a fairly open grower, so some pruning will encourage a bushier habit.
It is best when grown in dappled shade with rich, well drained soil.
It can grow to approximately 2 metres.
