This is a very showy Lilac and is more tolerant of warmer areas.
It forms a compact, densely branched, deciduous shrub with a rounded habit.
It produces richly fragrant, pale lilac flowers in late spring.
It is commonly known as the Persian Lilac and is a hybrid between S. afghanica and S. x laciniata.
It grows to approximately 2 metres making it ideal for smaller gardens or patio pots.
