This is one of the best purple-leafed "Weeping Japanese Maple" cultivars.
It has bright scarlet new growth in spring before turning to a deep burgundy in summer and then a flaming scarlet in autumn.
It retains its colour well when grown in a shady position.
A lovely feature in the garden or in a patio pot.
